Short presentations and Q&As. There are so many ways in which to consume information and target consumers, which has generated a huge shift in marketing, digital media and PR. Come and meet our panel who will discuss their job roles and showcase the wide and varied opportunities for graduates in this sector. After initial presentations from each speaker, there’ll be the opportunity to question the panel.


Speakers

Stewart Kirkpatrick is a leading digital strategist and an expert in targeting key messages to multiple target audiences across all digital platforms using great content. He was the Head of Digital for Yes Scotland. In his date at YesScotland its Facebook likes grew from 5,000 to more than 350,000, Twitter followers from 5,000 to 150,000. He has been Editor of scotsman.com and The Caledonian Mercury.

Gerry Brady, Technical SEO Team lead at DigitasLBi, is responsible for providing innovative technical consultancy to a wide range of global brands, including BUPA, Etihad, Marriott and Oxfam. Gerry has a deep understanding of all media channels and a wealth of experience in running multi-channel campaigns. Gerry’s broad technical background has uniquely positioned him at the top of a range of exciting projects across a variety of industries.

Jenny Mungall [Head of Entertainment, Material] has 10 years of experience working in the events industry, beginning her career in PR & marketing roles for music, comedy and theatre promoters. As Head of Entertainment at Material she delivers high profile marketing & communications campaigns, through live brand activation, digital platform & content creation, media liaison and partnership development. She has worked on events such as Tennent’s Vital, Becks Fusions, Oxegen, T in the Park, T on the Fringe, Edinburgh International Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and for clients Tennent’s Lager, Becks, MTV, BAFTA, MCD & DF Concerts amongst others. She also lectures at Napier University in the Festivals, Events & Tourism school.

Mickael Paris is Head of Digital Marketing at long term savings and investment specialists Standard Life. Mickael is passionate about online marketing and has built up a bank of experience through both start-ups and larger corporates. As a data driven marketeer, he started his career with Maxymiser, one of the leading providers of multivariate testing. He went on to join Skyscanner, the flight comparison site, where his focus was on taking it to market in France. And he is now helping to transform FTSE 100 company Standard Life into an online market leader.
